B is for Boycott
We are a nation that has a history of Boycotts. Boycotts are an essential and effective tool in the fight for civil rights, heck human rights. Constantly when people are told that boycotts don’t work they are proven wrong. It is an economic tool that can be wielded against corporations in the monetary language they understand, well also it hurts their image.
If you are of a certain age you’ve heard of the Montgomery Bus Boycott if 1955. It lasted 381 days. That may seem unthinkable today but it’s not. Also if you are of a certain age maybe you remember watching A Different World as a child and the South Africa Apartheid Boycott episode. Boycotts are just one tool in the fight for rights against countries and companies.
Even as I type this there are boycotts of companies that have agreed to roll back on being inclusive.
