C is for Chitlin Circuit
Not going to lie that was not what was C was going to initially be for. It was actually Conscious Comedy but then something beautiful happened. I was reminded that when Beyonce dropped the name for her tour "Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit Tour" people started searching the term.
So what was/is the Chitlin' Circuit?
It was a collection of venues that black acts could play in during the Jim Crow segregation period.
